We arrange a regular series of inter-club competitions and events throughout the year. Dates given below.
Joining Budock Vean Golf Club
The memership year starts on the 1st April and, for the fourth year running, the adult membership fee remains the same at £399. This may be paid in full or quarterly instalments by direct debit. If you would like to take advantage of attractive discounts on food and drink in the hotel and golf club bar, we ask that a credit supplement of £125 is paid on joining and an account is set up for you at the hotel where you will enjoy a 25% discount on food and drink, and 10% off in the golf shop and spa.
Children from 7 years old can join the Juniors training on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Until they are capable of playing on the course the membership fee is just £10 a year. Once they start playing on the course they will join the Club as Junior Members and will only pay £40 a year until they are 18. They then become Student Members and pay £125 a year.
If you are interested playing on this beautiful course and joining the very small but friendly Club please contact the Golf Manger, Tony Ramsden, in the golf shop behind the Hotel or call him on 01326 252102.

Secretary's Message - 17th July 2017
On Wednesday, the Club played a Mixed Foursome Medal competition for the Cook-Martin Shield. This pairs competition, the most difficult format in golf, requires the players to take it in turn to drive and then to play the ball in turn to the hole. Ron Cook and his wife Pam, and our past President Brian Martin and his wife Ann, donated the Shield to the Club and, over the years, it has always produced a keenly fought competition. This year was no exception and we were delighted that Pam, Brian and Ann were with us for the presentation of the Shield. The weather was glorious and the pairs produced some very good scores and a close result. The winners were Malcolm Hooper and Jill Sulley with an excellent net 66.5. Martin and Mo Salome were second, on count back from David Townsend and Fay Joffe, with 67.
On Sunday the Club played for the John Loughnan Memorial Salvers. John was president of the Club and is still fondly remembered by most of the members and many of the hotel staff. The competition is individual Stableford for Ladies and Men. The scoring overall was generally good but there were some outstanding results by both Ladies and men. Nina Hann, with the best round of the day and an outstanding 42 points, won the Ladies Salver. Barbara Craig was second with an excellent 38 and Jill Sulley third with 36. Two of the men had 41 points but Piran Trezise, on count back from Geoff Mills, won the Men’s Salver. Dennis McQuillan was third, on count back from Charlie Berry, with 40 points.
