Wedding Takeover by The Helford

If you’re looking for a venue for a large winter wedding we could be just the ticket.
During certain dates between December and March each year there is the opportunity to take over the hotel for your wedding … this means you get the run of the place!
Of course, this gives you the opportunity to have a larger wedding for up to 120 guests and you can have an all out evening bash. Talk to us and we can explain how that works and how many people need to stay overnight.
Evening Receptions

If you are taking over the hotel during winter, up to 80 guests can enjoy your ceremony in our stunning restaurant space and up to 120 people can enjoy an evening celebration.
If you take over the hotel on this basis your evening function could have up to 120 guests, live bands, music, dancing or discos for a big all out bash.
This is subject to a minimum of 80 people staying overnight at an agreed bed and breakfast rate.
There are a choice of beautiful rooms on offer.

Explore

Take a stroll through our woodland valley garden to reach our private foreshore on The Helford River. From here you and your friends could set out with our partners Koru Kayaking or Helford River Cruises to explore the river, perhaps taking in Frenchman’s Creek or the beautiful hamlet of Port Navas… keep your eyes peeled for cormorants, herons, seals and the occasional dolphins who have been known to put in an appearance.
We can help you arrange all sorts of outdoor pursuits such as archery, laser clay shooting; running excursions or Nordic walking.
Getting Wedding Ready

Our Natural Health Spa offers a variety of treatments to get you looking and feeling tip top. We’ll carry out a personal consultation in advance of any treatments to ensure you get the best out of your time with us. We have skincare ranges for all skin types, for men and women, and can advise on homecare routines as your wedding day approaches.
Groups of up to 20 can enjoy a seasonal spa day which includes a 45-minute treatment, a beautiful light lunch, use of the leisure facilities and, of course, a robe – essential attire for a day at a spa. Our seasonal spa days are designed to ensure your body gets the nourishment it needs.
