Christmas & Twixmas in Cornwall

The log piles are stacked, the decorations are up, the menus are prepared and that’s just the tip of the festive-prep iceberg! We are Christmas 2024 ready at Budock Vean and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Budock Vean’s Christmas break combines the very best of festive traditions; expect wonderful food, carol singers dropping in for a merry sing song, a brass band and (of course) a festive jumper competition all surrounded by the wonderful natural beauty of Cornwall … and with none of the cooking, cleaning or washing up.

Our Country House Hotel has roaring log fires, beautiful trees and crackers for Christmas day. Add to that bracing Cornish coastpath walks, golf competitions, spa treatments, tennis, the odd seasonal quiz and you’ve got yourself a whole bevy of memorable, festive moments sorted so sit back, settle in and succumb to the wonderfulness that is Christmas at Budock Vean.

Our festive happenings spread all the way through to the 2^nd of January so if you’re looking for a break between Christmas and New Year, the Twixmas period, then come join us.

Tucked away on the south coast of Cornwall, Budock Vean sits on the Helford River, surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty and, with access from hotel’s grounds, the South West Coast Path – most recently made famous by Raynor Winn and her Salt Path. Stretch your legs and explore it on your own or on one of our guided walks, the views are spectacular and it’s easy to see why people are drawn to the area time and time again.

Venture under a mile from the hotel and you’ll find Trebah Garden, one of the finest sub-tropical gardens in the UK. Travel a little further and you’ll discover many villages and harbour towns wearing their Christmas finest – ask us for details we’ll be pleased to help you find the likes of Mousehole, Cadgwith or Porthleven where lights are displayed in their Atlantic Ocean harbours.

Back at the hotel we have a really wonderful and talented troupe of musicians ready to entertain you during your stay, there’s plenty of dancing to be done … or just listening if you prefer! All of our events and activities are ready for you to pick and choose so you can create your own perfect stay.
