We are thrilled to share our latest assessment by the UK’s national tourism board Visit England. The assessment, which is carried out after a secret overnight visit by a professional inspector, saw Budock Vean Hotel score a whopping 90% overall with six of the nine categories coming in at the top, 5-star standard.

The results mean that we retain our high Four-Star hotel rating together with our Breakfast Award plus a new Welcome Pets Scheme awarded.

The inspector sited both hospitality and food as highlights for the hotel saying ‘… the friendly and professional team working hard to maintain consistent standards.’

Ranked in different categories, the hotel had hospitality & friendliness, service & efficiency, cleanliness and food quality all rated at 5-star standards.

Of Hospitality & Friendliness the report cited, ‘A friendly, welcoming and relaxed overall hospitality with the team aiming to make all guests feel at ease.’

Our team got another round of applause with the reporting on Service and Efficiency, The team work hard on providing smooth, well timed and professional service.’

Our housekeeping and property services team scored top marks for cleanliness ‘Excellent cleanliness again noted across the hotel, facilities, rooms and public areas- well done! The team work exceptionally hard with meticulously procedures in-place and thorough checks made. Bedrooms and bathrooms viewed all spotless. No dust found to fittings, skirting boards or behind furniture items.’

Last, but by no means least, our kitchen teams can give themselves a pat on the back for Food Quality ‘Food offering and quality is a wonderful highlight of the hotel with focus placed upon top quality local ingredients. Lovely to see menu options incorporating produce from the hotel garden.’
