Supporting Cornwall Community Foundation
Budock Vean, a family run hotel on the Helford River, have been proud supporters of Cornwall Community Foundation for many years.
The Foundation, which was established in 1998, supports community led projects across Cornwall. In 2020 they awarded 370 grants totalling over £1.6 million to support communities during the pandemic.
As well as being a member of CCF’s 100 Club, the hotel arranges fundraising events and collects regular donations to support the work of the Foundation. Despite being closed during the pandemic, and having to reschedule a large fundraising event planned for November last year, the hotel still managed to send close to £4,000 to the Foundation in 2021.
“CCF is a charity close to our hearts and, with everything going on in the world, we are delighted to have been able to continue our support this year. Our thanks go to all our guests, visitors and members for contributing and offering their support. All being well, our gala fundraising event will finally take place this November, which should more than double our contributions for 2022.” Martin Barlow, Owner, Budock Vean Hotel
“Thank you so much to the Budock Vean Hotel for their ongoing support to the Foundation. We are very grateful that even during such a tough year, the hotel raised an outstanding £2,903 from their guest donation scheme, in addition to supporting Cornish community projects through membership of the CCF Business Club. The Foundation distributed more than £2.2m in 2021 to help people in Cornwall and this was only made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors like Budock Vean Hotel.” Tamas Haydu, CEO Cornwall Community Foundation
