What’s on: Family Fun Days Out This October Half-Term
For holidaymakers and locals looking for something to keep the kids, and adults alike, entertained during October half-term, Cornwall’s top attractions are offering plenty of family fun to get involved with.
From exploring some of the most beautiful sub-tropical gardens in the U.K. at nearby Trebah and Glendurgan Garden, to visiting attraction such as The Eden Project or Cornish Seal Sanctuary, there will be plenty to see and so in Cornwall this October half-term.

Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Frightful Bugs & Mini Beasts
Saturday 26th October – Sunday 3rd November
Looking for a fun-filled activity this October half-term? Dive into the creepy crawly world of bugs and mini beasts at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Meet the rescue pups and residents and take part in the ‘Bugs and Mini beasts’ Halloween trail, enjoy some creepy crafts and get back to nature.

Halloween at Heligan
Saturday 26th October – Sunday 3rd November
October half-term will see the return of outdoor family activities at Heligan that celebrate Harvest, with traditional Corn Dolly workshops where the skills and traditions of this ancient craft will be shared. With harvest tastings and apple pressing sessions on offer, Heligan encourages visitors to enjoy the wonders and tastes of the season. The Barn will also host potion making workshops alongside wand making and Screech Owl Sanctuary will also be at Heligan to share the tales of these magnificent birds.

Eden Project
Halloweden
Saturday 26th October – Sunday 3rd November
Explore the freaky and fascinating world of minibeasts this October half-term at Halloweden. Watch the magnificent minibeast show presented by ZooLab – you’ll see critters including giant African snails to Chilean tarantulas. Explore the Bug Fair and take part in activities to entertain the whole family.

Halloween Half-term at Pendennis Castle

Grab your broomsticks and get ready for a brilliant day out at Pendennis Castle. Gather around and listen to spooky stories and eerie folklore told by story tellers all against the backdrop of Falmouth’s Pendennis Castle. Take part in their Halloween Quest around the grounds and hunt for hidden clues to solve the puzzles!
