Perfect Stay

Exceptional

Fab mini break at an excellent hotel

Family Birthday in Cornwall
My daughter summed our experience up far better than I could ever do by saying "They did not miss a beat in delivering excellence". And so they did! Would we go back? When is the answer! Thank you all for making it so special!

One of the best hotels in the UK with exceptional service and staff

August Rock Holiday Home

We will be back

Perfect As Usual!

Excellent hotel in fabulous grounds, with wonderful views and walks to the sea. Very reasonably priced.

Excellent, comfortable hotel
This is a very comfortable hotel. The food is excellent!! All the staff are courteous and helpful. The beds are very comfortable, and the ensuites are modern! We have had several mini breaks here over the last couple of years and cannot fault anything! Would highly recommend a stay here.

Cornish comfort
This is such a lovely hotel. We have visited many times and love the fact that the same enthusiastic staff are there year after year. We always feel very welcome. Dinner is reliably good with the emphasis on local seafood and fish. Soups and desserts are very good too. Not many places serve such a good breakfast - the usual buffet of cereals and fruit but then freshly cooked to order hot choices - full English, kippers, porridge, etc. It’s really rare to find this in a hotel.

Great place to stay
Have been to the hotel many times with great food, room and very helpful staff. On this occasion, no different. Met many of the older members of staff who have been at the hotel for a long time and their experience has been passed onto new staff.
Great place to stay and unwind with many sports included but the golf is the best.

Super relaxing Budock Vean
Took up special October offer and so pleased we did as this was our favourite hotel years ago where we stayed annually for 14 years. Upgraded on arrival, overlooked golf course, separate bathroom and toilet, super comfy bed, plenty of storage. Attentive staff, dinner and breakfast were the best. At last, hot food after disappointing stays with other local hotels. Dining room completely changed but lacking the charm it used to have. Miss the dessert and cheese trolleys. Excellent service, use of pool and hot tub. Lovely stroll down to creek where new café facilities installed, good idea. Would certainly return.

Annual September Stay

This place has a bit of everything!

Excellent

Best of Falmouth
After looking for a hotel around Falmouth, Budock Vean looked like it would be a good stay. It has great facilities; tennis, table tennis, snooker room, swimming pool, golf course and a boat trip. The food was absolutely sensational and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and lovely to stay in.

Another brilliant holiday at the Budock Vean hotel
Another Budock Vean brilliant holiday, thank you to all of the team at the Budock Vean hotel for making our holiday special. We have been many times to this hotel and have NEVER been disappointed as it is truly one of our favourites. For a start, the location is gorgeous and a stroll to the foreshore seems soothing and restorative in itself. I give constant praise to the food which is fresh and of top quality. The bedrooms are so very comfortable, we had a Signature Room but over the years must have had just about every room in the hotel and have never been disappointed. All staff are worthy of praise, from the moment we walk to reception, to when we say goodbye. Thank you all so much. We come back time after time and over the many years we have loved this hotel and hope to keep returning

Relax and unwind at this luxury hotel
The hotel is in a peaceful, secluded setting with beautiful gardens and views. There are so many things to do on site – swimming, outdoor jacuzzi, golf, tennis, spa, a boat trip, walks through woodland and gardens and down to a foreshore. The beach has its own café and guests can watch the river, fish popping up in the shallows and the little blue boat taking people for river trips while relaxing with a drink or snack. Dogs are welcome and you can check out areas dogs are allowed with hotel staff. The hotel is in a brilliant location with other attractions and places to visit nearby. I walked to Grebe beach and had lunch at the Red Lion pub in Mawnan Smith while I was here. The bedrooms are well equipped with luxury toiletries, a super-comfortable bed and wonderfully soft pillows. In the restaurant, conservatory or terrace, even the simplest of food is prepared with fresh ingredients, well presented and tastes delicious. The service is excellent in all departments. Staff are friendly and efficient, helping guests to make the most of their stay. It’s easy to unwind here; I had an extremely relaxing time with my dog and will be back again soon for another visit.

Yet another perfect stay!

A wonderful week of good food, perfect surroundings and seeing old friends
Another perfect visit to this family favourite. We were blessed with a week of good weather but what really made the visit, as ever, was the staff: always attentive, professional, caring and friendly. A highlight this time was a boat trip. Thank you to all involved!

Birthday celebration time!
My hideaway to celebrate my 69 years young birthday was absolutely wonderful and blissful. I arrived early to use the leisure facilities which was no problem. The staff greeting was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I was helped with my luggage to my Signature room over looking the gardens and golf course which was wonderful. Each morning a walk down through the gardens to the Helford Passage was delightful and enjoyable. The remaining period of the day was the use of the remaining leisure facilities in the spa and also the body massage was rewarding, felt like a new person (sure will have this treatment next time again). My 3 day stay was beautiful, relaxing and absolutely wonderful and I thank all the staff for their support. The meals were outstanding, not 4 star but 5 stars+. The restaurant staff were very caring, friendly and supportive and even the birthday song was a surprise and fun.

Brilliant
The room was great with a great view of the golf course and valley, a lovely walk down to the foreshore, must be lovely in the summer. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The birthday card for my partner was a lovely touch, thank you.

Budock Vean, relaxing spa break
A wonderfully relaxing stay. Very friendly & helpful staff made me feel very comfortable. My room was superb, comfortable bed, wonderfully furnished and very clean. The views over the grounds were spectacular. The pool was nice as were the hot tub and sauna if a little busy at times. The evening dinner menu was good and the food was fabulous!

Awesome break
Have just completed a 7 day stay at Budock Vean with a couple of friends. The welcome was sincere and the service second to none. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, whether a change of plan, a change of meal time or additional supplies of teas or cosmetics in the room. The staff are so polite and attentive to every wish to make our stay relaxing and memorable. As a result, the atmosphere among guests was friendly, and of general contentment. The food was delicious and generous portions. The produce was fresh and local if at all possible, and we were so impressed we have booked again for later in the year.

Perfect for a relaxing break
This is a beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and the swimming pool is a good size. The hotel is close to the river so we were able to go on some lovely walks (with our little dog who was well catered for at the hotel.). Thank you, especially to the welcoming reception staff.

Best crab sandwiches in the world
Went for a coffee on a very wet Cornish day, found a very warm and friendly welcome so decided to stay for lunch. Service was impeccable and the crab sandwiches were delicious. I was told they served the best crab sandwiches ever and they weren’t wrong. Fantastic with just enough mayonnaise to complement the crab, all encased in wonderful granary bread. Highly recommended.
