Bridge Break at Budock Vean
Budock Vean are running a ‘Supervised Bridge’ holiday popular teacher (and county director) Jeremy Child. Jeremy has been successfully teaching bridge for many years and is praised for his clear teaching style. He is known for his friendly approach, always ensuring people have a good time.
The bridge break is aimed at those who have been playing for less than a couple of years, and would like to improve their bridge. Sessions consist of "no fear" bridge with no time pressure. Players may look at their notes and ask for advice. In addition Jeremy will be keeping an eye on you all and suggesting better ways of bidding / playing.
In addition, there will be bitesize teaching sessions - 15 minutes looking at a particular aspect of bridge.
The daily itinerary will be:
• Morning: bite-size lesson + review of previous nights hands
• Afternoon: Supervised Bridge
• Evening: No Fear Duplicate Pairs
Your Bridge Club Break
BV is an ideal spot for your next Bridge Club weekend away. All you need to do is gather your friends, (minimum 8 players) choose your dates and drop us a line. We’ll work with you to make sure your Bridge room is ready for your arrival, (complete with tables, chairs and any bridge kit required at no additional charge), and you can create your own programme using any of these optional extras;

What to expect
Your host will be Jeremy Child, our renowned bridge teacher and EBU County Qualified Director. Teaching sessions can be tailored to your specific requirements, and cover improver, intermediate and experienced players. Options include:
- Review session - looking at interesting hands from the previous night
- Bite size teaching Sessions
- (e.g. breaking the transfer, raising on 3, wriggle, Fourth suit forcing, Bath Coup, Laws)
- Full Teaching Sessions
- (e.g, 2 suited overcalls, Lebensohl, losing trick count, Jacoby 2NT)
Play sessions can be run as:
- Supervised Play
- No Fear
- Friendly Duplicate
- Serious Play
